No video to recorded video
No video to recorded video
Hi! When I save my recorded video and play it back, there's only a snapshot picture in the video. No actual video moving. The audio is working fine.
Why is'nt the video recording? While the video is recording, I see the video moving on sreen. But once it's saved and replayed, no video is displayed.
Thanks!

Usually you can meet that problem when your CPU power isn't enough for handling the video stream. You selected too big resolution or fps of frames for recording.
SplitCam doesn't have any limits for start parameters, hence, you should set them based on resources of your PC yourself.
PS. Before posting, please, specify your environment: OS, RAM, CPU, SplitCam version, your video source and its parameters, how we can reproduce that issue in our lab by steps.
Splitcam also has its own log (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=7413). The log keeps all bug messages caught while working. This info helps us fast to detect the problem and find a solution for you.

Re: No video to recorded video
1. Please set the last Splitcam version:
http://splitcamera.com/SplitCamSetup_v8.0.4.3.exe
There were some problems after setting of the MS Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 in Splitcam 7.x.x.x.
2. Tell me, did your webcam connect to Splitcam, you saw its video in the main window of Splitcam?

Re: No video to recorded video
Hello, Vicul.
It's weird.
a) I uninstalled the previous version and installed the one you recommended.
nothing changed.
b) in the splitcamera main screen I can see my movements and the [REC] symbol flashing.
would be some additional video driver that I should download?
I do not think it's on the webcam, because with the native application of windows 10 I can record and then view all the recorded video.
would it be a combination of splitcam options that produces this problem?
the recorded video has an initial image that lasts all the time of the video.

thanks by your effort,
Roberto

Re: No video to recorded video
The solution...
Is the VLC player can not play the video correctly, showing only the first image, but ...
Windows Media Player does this successfully by correctly displaying all the recorded video (including all previous ones tested).
And Vegas Pro 14 also successfully shows the video.
Let's forget about SpliCam. The problem seems to lie in VLC.
Thank you for your effort and help.

If you use an antivirus, then you try to check Splitcam (and its components) in its "black" list. The antivirus can block Splitcam, if Splitcam is in this list.
the full check of Splitcam is here:
