Hi
I wanted to test the beta.

Everytime I tried to include a Video-Source the program crashes. Windows tells me something like "it's not working anymore"

I'm using Win7-64bit.

@ Clara2011,

I would suggest you have a look at the topic thread called "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" in there you'll see some posts that will give some idea of what one should be aware of.

I have used it for a while now and it works great but I hate the slider when playing videos!

Ideally it should be a smooth transition when moving the slider to the point where I need it to be, but instead it shows parts of the video as I move the slider along!

For example, I would like to see a fix so that when I start to slide the mark from 1min 24secs the video keeps playing from that mark until I drop the slider at 5mins 54secs and the video continues smoothly from there.

I use this program for a lot of video playing and this feature would be greatly received! :)

Hi Jebus,

I do appreciate and understand that some people (USERS) would want certain things to work in a certain way.

However, I think some will get the wrong idea as what is the norm, and what isn't. Certain programs were designed to work a certain way. For example if you want "Smooth Frame Accurate Video Manipulation on playback, then you'd use a Professional Video Editor Program, that has a timeline editor track, with a video playback monitor screen.

Splitcam wasn't designed to be used as a video editor as such, whatever functions it has at the moment still requires fine tuning.

Anyone can test the beta, just look at the first post on this topic and you will find the download link. With it, you can use it however you like and report any problems or suggestions to this topic. Simple

Hello,

First off, thanks for making SplitCam available for free. Great piece of software :-)

I've been using the recording feature on 5.4.4 beta and it's great - very snappy and the saved .avi files are small and easy to work with.

I have one problem.
The audio recording sounds funny. The pitch of the voices is too high - like they were using helium - maybe this is by design ;-)

I noticed there are some audio filters and perhaps one of these can resolve the issue
Any suggestions?

Thank you again for a very nice little program!

Jerry.

Hi Jerry,

You can just experiment with it yourself. By Trying out various setting, or filters, that your system is capable of handling, without audio distortion.

I downloaded SplitCam 5.4.4.0 on my lap top having window 7 64 bit.
It does not have any audio and it crashes whenever I upload a video in the playlist. It accepts the image upload but not the video. At times it accepted video file which I played but there was not sound when I streamed.
It has a lot of errors and bugs.

Hello aleesimpex

Can you tell me what video file you add to splitcam playlist? This is avi or wmv or mkv ?

In this time the audio work just on all versions of windows 32Bit .

Thank You

We uploaded avi, wmv, flash and mp4 but all crashed.
We are using window7 and 64 bit. I was told that your software does not work with 64 bit. Is it right??

For me the biggest thing keeping me from using Splitcam is that your programme loses a lot of quality in the picture! Here is an example

Image
Image

This is a screen capture of spitcam vs other cap splitter (not free)running the exact same settings and video. You maybe can't see such a big difference because I have done a bad screen capture here but if you run the experiment yourself you will see there is a huge difference. And also the version I am using for the second video is over 4 years old!

While I can understand that your software is free so maybe can't compete with these other programmes but picture quality is so important I think, more important than cool features... So my suggestion is for a clearer picture in future versions.

Thanks
Jebus
