My problem is when I try to set audio sources, I get no options...it is blank.I'm running XP sp3 on an Asus motherboard..3.06 Ghz Dual Core processor with 4 Gig memory installed..My Audio card is the one on the M'board...Via HD Audio. @ nomadaz,

When you install the new version did you re-boot the pc. Only when you have done that it will be finalized and complete finish and done.

Have restarted machine several times. even uninstalled and re-installed. Tried the new Beta version. Installed on another machine. Still getting the same results. Is there a setting I'm overlooking?

2. What is the model number of that Asus motherboard?

I uninstalled the splitcam version I had installed, rebooted, installed the recommended version, rebooted, and still no audio. Is it possible I don't have an audio codec that splitcam needs?

@ nomadaz,

I think, the problem is in the BIOS configuration. Go into the M'board BIOS menu, then select the ADVANCED > CHIPSET then choose the option that gives you access, to select the mode of your onboard audio.

I'm not sure how your setting is setup but you must change it from HD Audio to AC97. It must be set to AC97 !!!

Then exit to save the new changes within your BIOS!

Once you have booted up your pc. It should be available from then on. If it's not, then just reinstall the audio driver software from the CD disc that came with that ASUS MotherBoard.

BIOS was already set for AC97. I updated the audio drivers to the latest available from Asus. Still no luck.

@ nomadaz,

That is very odd and strange that none of the changes you've made hadn't made any difference at all.

Do you have Service pack 2 or 3 installed?

Listed Possible probabilities that could be causing some kind of issue below.

1. Audio driver not compatible with your hardware?
2. Missing chipset driver not installed?
3. Maybe sound card on the M'board is faulty?
4. Maybe the SplitCam audio driver isn't compatible with VIA chipset for that M'board?

P.S - Here is some additional information about some audio issues click on the link below!

I have tried Splitcam on 2 more machines....all have different M'Boards and Audio components. All run XP Service pack3. All give me the same results..I suspect a Software conflict, since all have most of the same software installed. I plan on wiping the harddrive, and doing a fresh install of XP on one machine, since it is having other issues also. after getting all the updates and installing the drivers, I will install splitcam and see what happens. If all is well, I will continue with other software installs until I find the one that is causing the conflict. I will let you know what I find. It may be a few days before I can get it done. Thanks for all your help.

@ nomadaz,

I'm sorry that it's causing you such a problem on your system. Hopefully once you have pin-pointed the problem with in your own system and then fix it yourself, you'll be overjoyed once it's cured and working properly. :)
