What if you were using a x32bit version of Windows then that will be different I think.

Splitcam itself has limited file supported format.

Hi. I have the problem - Splitcam does not show up as an available device in any of the application software, in particular Skype. I don't see any solution here?? I have the latest beta of splitcam

So many people have this issue, what will fix it please??

Thanks for including the info above!

However, when users are having some minor problem. It would be in the "USERS" own best interest to have a "CAREFUL" look around on the forum. There are some posts that might be able to give them some TIPS or a clue to a solution to their problem they're experiencing on their own system.

The screenshot below is a tip of how to find, or locate those available posts that were written by some members on this forum.

P.S Since posting this, it's now changed to 38 posts. ;)

Humm, ok thanks for that tip. Point noted.

I would have really appreciated a more direct solution to the problem since many here have the same issue.

But hey, if we can't get the software working we'll have a great time using the search feature!!

I did not receive problems with visibility in Skype feedback for a very long time. Please reinstall SplitCam and try to make step by step actions from http://blog.splitcamera.com/2011/how-to ... skype.html post and tell me the result.

Resolved, thanks for your help!

Uninstalled splitcam and skype, rebooted, DL and installed both again, rebooted, now all ok!!!

I am having the identical problem as Cosmictraxxx, Split Cam does not show up in the Device Manager, and in the source drop down window in Skype, Split Cam is not listed.

I was using Skype version 7 and Split Cam worked perfectly; then Skype did an upgrade in the past couple of weeks to version 7.x.x.x.x; that's when my problem began with Skype and Split Cam. I was advised to use the Revo uninstaller to uninstall Skype and evey tiny bit of Skype code buried in my system. After doing that, I re-installed an earlier version of Skype, version 6. Additionally, i uninstalled Split Cam using its own uninstaller, and reinstalled the program.

The result: Split Cam does not show up in the drop down Camera Source window. It is not recognized by Skype. Ironically, I installed Tracker Cam and it clearly shows up in the window, although, it is no where near as nice a program as Split Cam. I might also add,, that Split Cam does in fact continue to show up in Yahoo Instant Messenger, and it functions properly; the suggestion that changing entries in the registry is probably the root of the problem just does not fly with me. The problem began before the registry was cleansed of all Skype coding. Although messing with a registry can be risky, doing wo with care and selecting very specific files relating only to Skype, minimizes the risk. When Skype was re-installed after cleaning the registry, Skype ran as it should with no hang-ups. Either Skype corrected any possible errors in the registry on the reinstall, or the registry was cleansed correctly. With Yahoo running Split Cam correctly, it seems to be the real problem lies with the combination of Skype/Split Cam. It is probably a broken line of code that prevents the program from being recognized. Additionally, this same issue has appeared on several other forums in the past few weeks!

I use Windows XP; Split Cam Version 5.4.6.0; Skype version 6.0.6.0.126; I believe my system is 32 bit.

Just so you know, I believe that if you were to go back to a earlier version of SKYPE 5.x.x.x, it may be a better option or idea instead, for the time being.

There is an issue with the latest version of SKYPE 6.x.x.x that has been reported by some users.

I will also update the splitcam bug list too!

everything works right, just say skype not see the `drive` the splitcam...When i Tried to Change to my driver cam for splitcam video capture...

Ex: Skype-tools-video settings and ,change to splitcam capture, but dont' exist split cam capture,only have MY WEBCAM ...
help ..please
