Just installed this. Wanting to give it a try, to use it with Ustream to stream my desktop and sound. Previously used another splitter for this. Worked well enough.....aside from causing BSODs. :(

So, I was told about SplitCam, looks like a nice program. Installed it, and I cannot select an audio source. And when I load up my Ustream to begin broadcast, Splitcam does not show up as a source.

Version 5.4.6.0 under Windows 7 x64

Skype automatically updated to the new version today on our studio workstation. However, with our current setup using SplitCam to access our interview video (i.e., which we have been using for interviews multiple times a week for years now) will no longer work with Skype. Of course, this happened 30 minutes before a scheduled interview on BBC.

Has anyone else experienced this problem. And, is there a way to fix it? This is a major problem, and I've got to find a workaround; but I need help... Thanks!

the option to open videos or images with splitcam just doesnt exists, i already tryed many things.

only has the option for my webcam and nothing else.

Same problem here, been doing some looking around on the net and it seems to be a SKYPE issue. My Splitcam works just fine on other programs and shows up in the video options / video select drop downs , Im gonna try an older version of Skype and see what happens. Will post again later if it works.

To all skype users , for now we work on new version of splitcam for a new skype , and this take few days for new release of this version.

But if you need your SplitCam on Skype right now , you can do this few steps for resolve this problem :

1. Run cmd, if your OS is Win7(Vista or later) run cmd as administrator.
2. Type "regedit" in command promt press Enter, program regedit most start.
3. In Window regedit program press F3, and type "860BB310" in search string.
4. Under key directory "860BB310..." go to directory "Instance", choise
SplitCam Video Capture key directory.
5. In "SplitCam Video Capture" create string value with name "DevicePath"

Hello. I have a big problem for me. I can't find the way how I can make splitсam to displayed in Skype video settings. Just only my 1.3M WebCamera shown in menu.
What i must to do with that problem? Before I restart my Windows that was the same problem, but the problem magically disappeared by itself.
I'm using Windows 7 32bit. :(

What is it? it shows #empty ??
now i have a problem since the update , and one video dosen't work on the new version, but it is avi, i reinstalled more times but dosent help

You try to run the next copy of SplitCam, when the last copy is working yet, see your tray.
